We are very pleased to present Moe with this award!
Mo began his journey with us in July of 2014, starting his first position with us the following day! Throughout the years Mo has shown his dedication through punctuality and communication on various short and long-term assignments.
Everywhere he has been – the supervisors have appreciated how hard he works. He never strays away from a challenge and always has a willingness to take on new responsibilities. His colleagues and supervisors love how optimistic his outlook on life along with his superior work ethic.
Originally dispatched as a lumper, he was eventually trained on the forklift – work he loves to do. He has worked for several clients for 1000+ hours, ending the last 3 long-term assignments due to work shortages. He has most recently been offered the opportunity to be hired on permanent – but will first travel back to Sierra Leonne where he is helping his sick father build and maintain a home, and to check on the orphanage he helped set up:
he pays the upkeep along with support staff fees! He will also help pay the fees and provide food for children who are less fortunate in his village.
Quote from Client: “Mo has proven to be a valued and reliable member of our team. He is always willing to take on a new challenge. Mo has consistently shown a willingness to work through any limitations to ensure the required tasks are completed. When he is unsure, he will ask questions and act on the guidance of his supervisors. He is a good forklift operator who always follows safety protocols.”
Mo has been a joy to work with over the years and we are looking forward to congratulating him on his inevitable hire-on! 20
You can watch ABL’s founder and president, PJ Ferguson, explain the concept around the “A Better Life Award” here:
ABL’s “A Better Life Award” recognizes an individual who has made an active outbound effort to create a better life for themselves and the people in their lives.
It is not just a “good job” pat on the back but rather an affirmation of positive action and accountability. While ABL is a part of this, these inspiring stories are truly about people who have influenced their own situation to create A Better Life. Learn more about how an ABL employee can become eligible to be nominated for the “A Better Life Award” here. You can watch the video about our very first Award Recipient, Tracy C, here.
Of over 250 nominations this year for actions both big and small, 15 were presented to the entire ABL team who voted to determine the 3 “finalists”. We’d like to thank you for taking the time to read these wonderful stories as told proudly by the local ABL staffing team:
