We are currently hiring General Labourers to join a busy manufacturing facility in Mississauga specializing in products and components for the door and window industry.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for steady, full-time work with the potential to be hired permanently. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided onsite. We are looking for dependable individuals who are comfortable working with their hands, following instructions, and performing repetitive manufacturing tasks.
Once hired permanently and after successfully completing the company’s probationary period, employees will have access to company benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be working in the Fabrication/Finishing Department, helping finish newly manufactured window and door frame components before they move to the next stage of production.
Your duties may include:
Taking newly welded window frames and preparing them for finishing
Using a hand grinder to carefully grind and smooth down visible weld marks
Sanding and finishing areas of the frame to create a clean, smooth surface
Inspecting your work to ensure weld marks and rough areas have been properly finished
Cleaning frames and removing dust or debris after grinding
Using basic hand or power tools as required
Drilling holes into frames when required for production
Handling and moving materials throughout your workstation
Completing repetitive production tasks while maintaining consistent quality
Following samples, instructions and production requirements
Keeping your work area clean, organized and safe
Assisting with other general manufacturing or production duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
You do not need previous manufacturing experience to apply. Training will be provided, but you must be comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Be comfortable using or learning to use a hand grinder and basic hand/power tools
Be able to follow instructions and learn new tasks
Have good attention to detail and take pride in the quality of their work
Be comfortable performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Be comfortable standing and working with their hands for extended periods
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Be reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining good attendance
Be comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
Be willing to learn, accept feedback and adjust their work when needed
Be looking for a long-term opportunity, not short-term work
Why Apply?
This is more than a short-term assignment. We are looking for individuals who want the opportunity to learn, grow and potentially become permanent employees.
Full-time Monday to Friday schedule
Day shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Long-term, consistent work
Entry-level opportunity with onsite training
Opportunity to gain manufacturing and power-tool experience
