The ideal candidate will be responsible for afternoon shift maintenance of production and packaging equipment, focusing on minimizing downtime and supporting efficient operations. This includes performing installations, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs in alignment with safety protocols and preventative maintenance standards. They will also coordinate third-party technicians for specialized repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and mechanical maintenance on production/packaging equipment.
Maintain records of repairs, parts, and settings.
Keep maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe.
Order and stock replacement parts with supervisor approval.
Support equipment setup during changeovers/expansion.
Coordinate outside vendors for specialized repairs.
Troubleshoot PLC systems and perform diagnostics.
Conduct general mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
Use tools and testing equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and GMP standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
Trade certification and electrical certification are assets.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and vehicle access required.
