Our client is a growing construction services organization specializing in commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects across Ontario. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects. The successful candidate will analyze project documents, perform quantity take-offs, communicate with clients and internal stakeholders, and assist in delivering competitive project bids.

Key Responsibilities:
– Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and requirements.
– Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for sealants, caulking, firestopping, insulation, spray foam, and fireproofing projects.
– Analyze tender packages, identify inclusions and exclusions, and assist with bid preparation and submission.
– Communicate with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and resolve scope discrepancies.
– Maintain organized estimating records, tender documents, quotes, and project files using company document management systems.
– Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, access challenges, and material requirements during the estimating process.
– Support project handoff activities and collaborate with operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from award to execution.
Qualifications:
– Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
– Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, cost analysis, or project coordination.
– Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam.
– Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
