The Inuksuk: a beautiful and classic Canadian symbol which traditionally signifies that a traveller is on the right path. We felt this was fitting to represent our “A Better Life Award”, which we created to acknowledge and celebrate the special efforts our associates have made—both at the worksite and in their own personal development.
Each January, we present our annual “A Better Life Award” to an ABL assignment employee who has shown dedication and initiative. The deadline is drawing near, but we’re still looking for nominees! We strive to reward those who go above and beyond, and we need your help.
Here’s how to nominate employees for recognition:
1. NOMINATE THEM FOR THE “A BETTER LIFE” ANNUAL AWARD CAMPAIGN
The “A Better Life” award recipient is someone who has positively transformed the lives of themselves or their family by working on an ABL assignment. We invite our client companies and ABL internal staff to put forth nominations, and one individual will be selected by a majority vote.
The deserving employee will receive $1000 in recognition of their efforts!

2. ENTER THEM INTO OUR MONTHLY DRAW
You can also help reward employees who go the extra mile for your company by entering them in our monthly draw for gift cards. If you have an ABL assignment employee who helps out by working overtime, training on new equipment, or being a safety champion, let us know! There’s no limit to how often or how many associates you can enter.
All you have to do is contact your ABL Employment office and tell them who you’d like to enter a ballot for and why. There’s still time to submit a ballot for the month of November and December, so get in touch with us to recognize a hardworking employee.
We Want to Hear from You!
Do you have an extraordinary ABL employee story to share? Let us know by the end of December to nominate them for the “A Better Life Award”. Early in January, our client companies and suppliers will vote for their favourite inspirational nominee.
We can’t wait to hear your stories!
