Transportation Supervisor – Temporary Position NEW

Our client in the transportation service industry is seeking a Temporary Supervisor to support operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of organization and adaptability. This is an immediate opening!

We are looking for someone with shift flexibility – you will need to work 1 on-call weekend per month and overtime is available. This position will last at least until the end of August – this is a temporary position.

Pay rate:
– $24/hour
– We pay weekly every Friday

Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise daily transportation operations and support staff performance.
– Coordinate schedules, assign duties, and ensure timely execution of services.
– Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and external partners.
– Utilize Microsoft Office to manage reports, documentation, and communication.
– Lead and motivate teams in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
– Problem-solve and manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Requirements:
– Strong knowledge of the London, ON area.
– Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Clean criminal background check and valid driver’s abstract
– Proven supervisory experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics sector.
– Highly organized, capable of multitasking, and working well under pressure.
– Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
– Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (formulas).
– Flexible schedule with availability for overtime and monthly on-call rotation.
– Experience in a unionized workplace is a strong asset.
