You will be working for a company that assembles roofing structures for mine shafts. You will be a valuable member of this team and will play an important role in the manufacturing process.The Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating production equipment to optimize availability, quality and speed by maintaining both mechanical and electrical subsystems.
Responsibility would be the following and described/shown on site.
Ensure equipment is operating at peak performance in order to efficiently execute the daily production plan.
Investigate cost effective solutions to plant and machine problems.
Schedule repairs and PM’s with Operations to keep overtime and downtime to a minimum.
Take personal ownership and ensure equipment produces a quality product.
Follow, Understand, Implement and Sustain 5S principles.
Have the ability to understand and follow Lean principles.
Promote and suggest Visual Management throughout department.
Work with Management to develop and implement maintenance schedules for plant & equipment and ensure both are kept in proper condition through regular inspections.
Ability & desire for higher level and technical learning both on the job and in the classroom setting.
Ensure critical inventories are maintained in order to maximize utilization and reduce emergency down time.
Willingly train personnel on use of equipment and new tasks.
