We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Business Development to spearhead the growth strategy for a leading North American last-mile logistics provider. This role is crucial in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and steering the business development team to meet revenue and market share targets.

Key Responsibilities:
– Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with long-term goals. Identify and assess new market opportunities and investment projects.
– Market Expansion: Drive market presence across North America, focusing on key regions and customer segments. Pursue strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
– Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners. Address and resolve customer issues related to market conditions and competition.
– Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a business development team, promoting innovation and collaboration.
– Financial Management: Manage the business development budget, monitor KPIs, and ensure resource efficiency.
– Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements. Drive continuous improvement within the business development function.
Qualifications:
– 10+ years of experience in business development or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
– Proven track record in driving business growth and achieving revenue targets within the logistics, supply chain or e-commerce industry.
– Strong understanding of the North American logistics market.
– Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
– Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing data.
