Our client is a North American leader in LED display and installation solutions, supported by a team of 300+ skilled professionals. They are seeking a Mechanical / Technical Assembly Associate to support their engineering and production teams in preparing LED systems, components, and assemblies for large-scale projects across Canada and the U.S.
Location: Oakville, ON
Wage: Starting at $19.00/hr+ (higher rates available depending on experience and technical knowledge)

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working with electrical components, panels, and circuit-based systems. It is not a warehouse or inventory-focused position – it is a skilled technical role supporting the build, configuration, and commissioning of LED billboard systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
– Assemble, kit, and prepare mechanical and electrical components for LED display projects
– Work with panels, boards, wiring, and circuit-based components
– Perform quality checks, inspections, and functional testing on hardware
– Assist with configuration and setup of LED control systems (hardware/software interface, not IT help desk)
– Identify missing, incorrect, or faulty components and escalate as needed
– Follow engineering documentation and project build requirements
– Handle small parts and delicate components with precision and strong attention to detail
– Support commissioning activities for LED systems prior to deployment
– Communicate with team members in Canada and the U.S. to ensure project accuracy
– Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs
– Operate or learn to operate a forklift (training provided if needed)
– Work overtime when required to meet project deadlines
What Makes You a Great Fit
– 2+ years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, technical assembly, or quality inspection role
– Strong technical aptitude – comfortable working with circuits, wiring, panels, and tools
– Experience with kitting or assembling multi-component systems
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors or missing parts
– Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
– Critical thinker with the ability to troubleshoot and learn new technical processes
– Comfortable with physical work and handling electrical components
– Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification
– Proficiency with basic computer tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
