Responsibilities:
– Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of components on container refrigeration units and gensets
– Maintaining transport refrigeration unit on containers and gensets by performing diagnostics using laptops and onboard computers, completing preventative maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment.
– Maintains transport refrigeration units on containers and gensets by reviewing work orders; listening to customer complaints; repairing failures; removing, replacing, testing for refrigerant leaks, assembling, and installing parts and components involving soldering, welding, and the use of refrigeration equipment.
A successful candidate is preferred to have:
– 2-3 years’ experience in any of the following fields: Marine Refrigeration Technician, Transport Refrigeration Technician, AC/HVAC, Auto Mechanics
– Piping skills: sil-fos / silver solder
– Ozone Depletion Certificate preferred
– Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract
Pay rate:
– $28-38/hour, based on experience and certification
