Work with a fast paced customized stair production shop in central Burlington. This company builds up to 900 stairs per day. The CNC operation role requires knowledge of IMPERIAL MEASUREMENTS, as well as a background with operating a CNC Machine and Program. You will be partnered up with another person for training. Heavy lifting is required.
** MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION **
Woodworkers must have good hand-eye coordination to make precise cuts; math aptitude and measuring skills; physical stamina and strength is an asset. They must also be detail-oriented and have the technical skills necessary to understand and interpret drawings and manuals. Imperial measuring sytem is used.
In addition, the following are ideal skills for a successful candidate to have.
Knowledge of the various types of woods and veneer, glue and adhesives etc.
Ability to safely operate woodworking machines, including radial arm and band saws
A good understanding of measuring and shop drawings, written instruction and work orders
Prepare and set up machines
Knowledge of various hand air tools
Use roller to spread glue
Lift, sort and stack wood panels.
