The Assembly Technician is key member of the Item Ontario assembly and service team. This person will be required to perform a broad range of assembly tasks associated with the building of custom aluminum extrusion solutions. Some of the duties will include:
-Verify the accuracy of parts required prior to starting an assembly.
-Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and efficiently to approved specifications
-Ensure finished products receive a final Inspection prior to shipment to verify builds are to customer specifications.
-Inform Supervisor if components for assembly are missing from the work order.
-Ensure item Solutions are assembled on time and within the defined assembly time.
-Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in the assembly area.
-Responsible for maintaining and cleaning machines before and after use.
Experience in the following are an asset :
– minor assembly
– reading blue prints
– machine operation
– repair work
– working with heights
– first aid
This is a long term position with a pay range of $16-18 per hour depending on experience. This position is not on a bus route, must be able to drive.
