Our client is a family-run, women-owned business delivering solutions for stationery tapes and supplies, mailing and packing supplies, and hardware tapes, with a focus on transitioning to eco-friendly alternatives.
As Accounting Assistant you will be a full time, permanent employee, enjoying benefits after the probationary period.
You will be accountable for performing daily tasks that will support our financial team primarily focused on client / customer relationship.
Responsibilities:
– Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
– Maintain billing process in a high-volume setting.
– Setting up master data and regularly updating information in databases including profiles.
– Update and maintain standard costing in the SAP accounting system
– Develop and run new reports relating to customer sales trends at customer and product
level and other customized reports for internal stakeholders.
– Maintain close to real time tracking for profitability on price increase and trends for actuals
– Provide business analysis reports on freight, material cost, labor rates, FX to provide
sensitivities
Qualification:
– Enrolled in Accounting, Finance or relevant Business Administration (Degree preferred)
– Minimum of two (2) years of Accounting experience (Accounting Assistant or Junior
Accountant
– Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel including V look up/ Word / PP / Outlook / SharePoint)
– Experience with SQL query run, ERP Accounting software (SAP Preferred) and
QuickBooks Enterprise
– Familiarity with Finance Regulations
– Preference for individuals who have worked in small businesses vs large businesses
